FULL VIEW PLEASE!

I just wanted to do a sketch, somehow came across ~laprasek's Mielikki and thought "what the heck, she'll do just fine". Somewhere in the middle of drawing I thought I could do a quick coloring job on her - just soft airbrush for shades and no background. Instead, I ended up shading her with the dodge tool and thought she could use some gradient background... and grass... blue-green, 'cause it seemed right somehow. The grass was lonely by itself, so trees of the Water Forest joined in and since Mielikki got lost, she asked some of the migrating faeries for the way. Or something like that. XD [The End.]

The hands are not good at all, I know. But surprisingly I got the feet right, but they got covered by the grass... ^^;
AND the trees are supposed to look so flowy, since it's the WATER forest. (Wait. It hit me just now. Doesn't DaI have a song called "Water Forest"? o,O )
And I say it's digital work, 'cause it was like an hour of traditional and ten or so hours of digital work.

I hope ~laprasek forgives me for borrowing Mielikki without permission and probably altering her personality (and outfit, too, since I wasn't quite sure how to draw it).

So anyway, you've been getting better and better. That one skirt fold [I'm sure you know which one] bothers me a bit, but ... other than that, it's pretty much fine.

Thanks much for the rape XD Do you have a higher-resolution version of this? I'd LOVE to slap it on my desktop.

I'm glad you like it. ^^ You get credit for it, too, 'cause it's your character. :D

It seems the sacrifice of many pens, pencils and papers wasn't in vain after all! :3 I think I know which fold you mean, it looks weird with it and even without it. I don't know why. Maybe given some time I'll find out.

You're welcome! ^^ Well, I DO have a higher resolution, but it's super messy (like the outlines are made by darkening the original sketch, so it's all weird and fuzzy in hi-res). Not to mention it's not good enough to be on a desktop.

It was definitely not, you've REALLY imrpoved in the past few months, and it seems to me you're more inspired now, so keep drawing :3~
Yep, I don't really know much about folds yet, so no advice from me, I'd have to put that skirt on and try out, I guess ^^;

Well I already slapped it on my desktop and it fits... but it IS good enough to be on a desktop, especially since you captured her so perfectly! D: Don't underestimate yourself... D:

I'm not really inspired, I'm desperate, 'cause at the end of the semester I'm gonna get booted out of school and I really don't know what to do with myself, my life and all. But that's not your problem, I'm not gonna bother you with it. I'll just say art helps me take my mind off it a bit.
And you have improved, too. But I guess we're not nearly as good as Hiro or Gardi. ^^; We'll get there eventually. (I hope.)

I'm not very good with folds, either, but I'm trying.

Oh well. I can't go rip it off your desktop, now can I? X3 It's really nice someone likes what I do, thank you. :hug:

Basically because of too much stuff I don't seem to understand the way teachers want me to. Yeah, second year, but that doesn't mean they can't kick me. Unfortunately.
